What Quit saves.

Quit is a self-help beta for adults aged 18 and over. You can browse the programme and Support without an account. Guidance is general and is not medical advice or a diagnosis.

When you create an account

Firebase Authentication stores your email and manages your sign-in credentials. Cloud Firestore stores your profile, quit attempts, optional personal reasons and triggers, check-ins, goals, learning progress, reflection answers, and which award celebrations you have seen. The current database is in the London region; authentication and other provider processing may occur elsewhere.

Your entries are private to your account in the app. Project administrators can access stored data to operate the service; it is not end-to-end encrypted. Do not include information you do not want stored. There is no public profile, leaderboard, or automatic sharing.

Optional means optional

You can leave personal notes blank and decline any reflection answer. Awards recognise that you reviewed a reflection, regardless of your answers. No diagnostic score is calculated.

Device storage and analytics

Your sign-in session may remain on this browser until you sign out. Firestore uses memory caching in this beta, not an enabled persistent offline journal. No optional analytics or advertising tracking is enabled. Firebase may process technical information to provide authentication and database services.

Export, deletion and retention

Your saved information remains until you delete it or the service’s retention policy changes. In Settings, you can download your app data and delete your account and its known personal records, including nested records. Downloaded copies are your responsibility. Deletion from the live app does not itself establish a provider backup-retention schedule.

For now, contact the person who invited you to the beta about privacy or account problems. A named operator, contact address, retention policy and final privacy review must be supplied before external invitations.

This is not a monitored service

No one monitors your check-ins or answers for an emergency. If you need urgent help, use the contact options in Support or your local emergency service.
